Mylar and Loretta's, Singhampton Ontario

If you go through a tiny town called Singhampton just south of Collingwood Ontario stop in for lunch or dinner at the restaurant Mylar and Loreta's. It's an old brick building from the 1860's with its very own ghost - Mylar!

He likes to play pranks, and occasionally is seen in the dining room, kitchen and bar. There's a wonderful story about Mylar settling in Singhampton circa 1860. He sent for his love, Loreta, but her ship went down on the voyage over. I suppose his ghost still haunts the building as he waits for her for eternity.

They have delicious homemade meals and a nice atmosphere, with cozy mismatched tables and linens. Very nice, it's worth the stop, even if you don't find Mylar!

I give this 4 out of 5 tea cups. 4 tea cup rating for tea room reviews
